From Amarillo: 47 miles. Take I-27 to Canyon, then go west on US 60 for 30 miles.
From Dallas: 410 miles. Take US 287 to Amarillo, then go south on I-27 to Canyon. In Canyon, go west on US 60 for 30 miles.
From Oklahoma City: 303 miles. Take I-40 to Amarillo, then go south to Canyon and west on US 60 to Hereford.
From Denver: 443 miles. Take I-25 to US 64 in Raton. Take US 64 to Dalhart, then pick up US 385, 100 miles to Hereford.

In addition to the museum itself, other historical itineraries in Deaf Smith County can show you more of the region's fascinating history. The nearby Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum, Texas's largest historical museum, is a short 30 minute drive from Hereford.
